Turf Toe and First MTP Joint Injuries

Skateboard tricks involving the toes — particularly techniques where the front foot manipulates the board during aerial tricks (kickflips, heelflips) — create hyperextension stress at the first metatarsophalangeal joint analogous to turf toe in football.
