Expert Foot Care for Northville, Plymouth, and Canton

Residents of Northville, Plymouth, Canton Township, Livonia, and the surrounding western Wayne County and southern Oakland County communities have access to expert podiatric care at Balance Foot & Ankle’s Bloomfield Township location. Our board-certified podiatrists provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for the full range of foot and ankle conditions — from common complaints to complex surgical cases.

The Northville and Plymouth area is a community of active, health-conscious residents who value evidence-based medical care and straightforward communication about diagnosis and treatment. That’s precisely what we deliver at every appointment.

Comprehensive Podiatric Services

Our practice treats the complete spectrum of foot and ankle conditions. For the most common presentations — plantar fasciitis, bunions, hammertoes, Morton’s neuroma, ingrown toenails, toenail fungus — we offer proven, evidence-based treatments. For more complex conditions including Charcot foot, posterior tibial tendon dysfunction, osteochondral lesions of the talus, and chronic ankle instability, we bring the specialized expertise these diagnoses require.

We perform in-office digital X-rays, prescribe and fit custom orthotics using digital scanning technology, and provide in-office procedures including cortisone injections, nail procedures, and minor wound care. For surgical cases, we operate at accredited ambulatory surgery centers convenient to the western Oakland County area.

Active Community Foot Care

Northville and Plymouth are outdoor-oriented communities with access to excellent trails, parks, and recreational facilities. The Hines Drive corridor, Maybury State Park, and Plymouth Township’s trail systems attract runners, cyclists, and hikers year-round. When foot and ankle injuries happen during these activities, we provide prompt, accurate diagnosis and evidence-based rehabilitation planning.

We also support the strong youth athletics programs in the Northville and Plymouth-Canton school districts, treating student athletes with the expertise and understanding of sports schedules that young athletes and their parents appreciate.

Diabetic Foot Care Excellence

Serving a large suburban community means treating significant numbers of diabetic patients who require specialized foot monitoring and wound care. Our comprehensive diabetic foot program provides annual exams, neuropathy screening, vascular assessment, wound care, and the Medicare Therapeutic Shoe Program for qualifying patients. We’re particularly vigilant about coordinating care with endocrinology and primary care to ensure integrated diabetes management for our highest-risk patients.
