3. Foot soak — warm (or therapeutically treated) water softens the skin and calluses.
4. Nail care — sterile trimming and shaping at proper angles to help prevent ingrown nails.
5. Callus and corn removal — thickened skin is gently debrided; corns receive targeted treatment.
6. Cuticle and skin care — gentle cuticle management and inspection for dryness, cracks, or fungal signs.
7. Therapeutic application — medical-grade moisturizers are applied.
8. Final assessment — findings, footwear guidance, and a maintenance schedule, plus any recommended follow-up treatments.

Pricing and Insurance Coverage

Cash-pay pricing: A medical pedicure is $150 for your first (new-patient) visit and $75 for each follow-up visit. When the care is medically necessary — such as debriding diabetic calluses or thick, fungal nails — part or all of it may be billed to Medicare or your insurance instead.

What insurance and Medicare do — and don’t — cover. Cosmetic nail and skin care (including nail polish) is not covered. However, the medically necessary parts of foot care — such as nail debridement and callus or corn paring for a qualifying diagnosis — may be covered by Medicare and many commercial plans when documented as medically necessary. Patients who often qualify include those with:

• Diabetic neuropathy with loss of protective sensation
• Peripheral arterial disease (PAD)
• Severe nail or callus conditions that prevent safe self-care
